Singer Koo Jun-yup dated actress E Jiah’s sister

Singer Koo Jun-yup appeared on an episode of “Shocking” on Channel A on Jan. 18. While on the show, the star talked candidly about all of his past scandals, a few of which were based on his love life.

The 42-year old singer made a shocking announcement that he used to date the older sister of actress E Jiah. “We dated back when I was in university and she told me that she had a younger sister in the United States. I had no idea at the time that she was referring to E Jiah,” said Koo.
In addition the K-pop singer said that he dated Taiwanese actress Xu Xiyuan, who starred in the Taiwanese version of “Boys over Flowers.” Koo said that the couple dated for over a year before calling it quits.

Among many other anecdotes, Koo spoke about his scandal with singer Son Dambi as well his experience being a veteran idol group member.
Koo rose to fame from being in the duo band Clon, which made its debut in 1996. In 2000 the band made headlines when his band member Kang Won-rae was involved in a accident in which his motorbike was struck by a car, leaving him paralyzed from waist down. The two members have since pursued their separate careers. In 2008 Koo released his first solo album, “I’m DJ Koo.”
