MBC to air Chinese edition of ‘We Got Married’ on Feb. 25

MBC has announced that it will air a Chinese edition of “We Got Married” on Feb. 25. The pilot program, featuring Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and T-ara’s Hyo Min paired up with Chinese entertainers Lou Yi Xiao and Fu Xinbo, aired on Chinese television on Tuesday through the SMG Network.

Kyuhyun was paired up with actress Lou while Hyo Min was set up with Chinese boy-band member and actor Fu. In the program, Kyuhyun and Lou will enjoy a honeymoon in China while Hyo Min and Fu will come to Korea for their honeymoon.

The two K-pop stars will also talk about their experiences in the re-edited version.

The edition that aired over Valentine’s Day in China featured an additional pair of Chinese actors. SMG of China co-produced the Chinese pilot with the help of MBC to decide whether or not the program would be a hit. The network will decide whether it will continue the Chinese version after it reviews the ratings from the Tuesday showing. By Carla Sunwoo
