KARA becomes the face of ‘K-food’

From now on, KARA will not only be representing K-pop, but ‘K-food’ as well.
The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced yesterday that the five members of the girl group have been picked as honorary ambassadors.
From next month, KARA will be responsible for various promotional events such as shooting commercials and attending events across Asia to increase awareness of Korean food and expand its reach.
Japan, China and a number of countries in Southeast Asia are on the schedule.
The ministry says it expects some positive results to follow as KARA is “huge on the global market.”
“In particular, the group was chosen for its bright and healthy image,” a spokesperson from the organization said.
Coincidentally, the girl group announced last week that it will be showing off its culinary skills to promote its new EP “Pandora.” Selected fans will be invited to a restaurant on Monday where the girls will personally cook for fans.
