JYP Entertainment has taken K-pop to a whole new level by incorporating smartphone technology into its line of apparel.

The agency announced on Nov. 12 that from Nov. 15, it will launch 10 clothing items online with QR codes on them so that fans can listen to the group’s songs and view pictures of them when they purchase 2PM apparel.

The clothing range, which consists of items like T-shirts, hoodies and scarves, was developed in cooperation with Benetton.

The range is available on www.jypstore.com as well as on GMarket, and anyone with a smartphone can tap into the extras.

Aptly titled “The Apparel Album,” members will take on various solos: four songs will be unveiled for the first time through the launch.

The apparel line was released to mark the band’s second Asian tour, which kicks off on Nov. 17.

“We will be the first to fuse apparel and music,” said the agency, before adding that it will keep developing new products.
