Tiger JK, wife to perform in Cannes

The music industry insiders event kicked off in 1967, and each year a lineup of world-class acts are invited to perform.
As Korean representatives, Tiger JK and Yoon will perform at the main stage of the show, “Midem Festival,” on Jan. 27 with acts like Birdy Hunt and C2C. About 80 performances will take place at the festival.
Meanwhile, other K-pop artists to have been invited include Bizzy, Block B and Juniel, who has been asked to sing during happy hour catering for business personnel attending the show.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had a part in securing the singers slots at the world-renowned music event.
The ministry in conjunction with the Korea Creative Contents Agency have been active in promoting K-pop abroad, and it was at their bidding that the artists were invited. By Carla Sunwoo
