KBS cancels Kim Hyun-joong drama

The production company, 100 Media, which produced the drama that cost 4 billion won ($3.67 million) to make, said that after making it jump through one hoop after another, KBS failed to award the show a slot on its 2013 roster.
Through a press release, 100 Media said yesterday the network rejected the show as “too violent.”
The company said that to meet the demands of one of the nation’s largest broadcaster, it replaced writers and actors, and made changes to the script.
However, KBS has denied the allegations. The network aired its views via Sports Seoul, saying despite what the agency is saying, “It was the quality of the content that broke the deal.
“We debated whether to air it or not, and time and time again it just wasn’t up to the standard we expected,” said a KBS representative.
