Psy moves up worldwide release

Psy’s new song will now come out a day early tomorrow, according to his agency YG Entertainment yesterday.

He originally planned the worldwide release for Saturday, the day of the concert “Happening,” with the song made available one day earlier exclusively for Korean fans.

However, after the agency was overwhelmed with inquiries from overseas music industry officials about how they could listen to the new song, called “Gentleman,” during the advance release period, it decided to simply release the single worldwide tomorrow.

Psy completed filming the music video for the new song on Tuesday in Seoul and other locations.

Fans are anxious to see if the “Gangnam Style” celebrity can live up to the hype generated by his international megahit.

The solo concert will still be held on Saturday at World Cup Stadium in northwestern Seoul and will feature G-Dragon of Big Bang as a guest performer along with Lee Hi. By Lee Sun-min
