Female duo Davichi has made the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s K-pop chart for two weeks in a row as the list was updated yesterday.

The song, “Missing You Today,” released earlier this month has garnered much popularity even though the group has not made any TV appearances to promote it.

Even though more than two weeks have passed since the release, the song has stayed high on local music charts while many songs, after topping the chart on the first day of their release, fall in the rankings the next day.

Meanwhile, the agency said that the duo has received many offers from TV drama production companies to sing their soundtracks as previous tracks, including one from the KBS drama “Iris 2” have garnered much popularity.

However, the agency said it has been refusing to work with TV dramas as it focuses on providing better music through albums, according to local media reports.

Girl group 2NE1 was ranked second with “Falling In Love,” and solo singer Ailee followed with “U&I.” Another girl group, Sista, which released “Give It To Me” in early June, still managed to put the song in ninth place.

Out of all the Korean songs that made to the top 10 list, only three are by male singer or groups. Singer Lee Seung-chul’s “My Love” was at No. 5, while hip-hop group Dynamic Duo’s “Baaam” is ranked sixth.
