K-pop fans overwhelm music poll

When will people learn not to add K-pop groups to online polls? With their hyper-enthusiastic fans, K-pop groups often overwhelm Web sites not used to such fanaticism.
Case in point, MTV Iggy, the world music brand of the iconic television channel. MTV Iggy just held a contest to determine the best summer song of the year, giving readers 10 choices from around the world, from Japan to Jamaica to the United Kingdom, and included one K-pop group - 2NE1.
With no surprise, the results showed 65 percent of the total votes cast going to 2NE1’s latest hit, the reggae-tinged “Falling in Love.”
MTV Iggy is no stranger to 2NE1; online readers voted the girl group “Best New Band in the World” in 2011 in another poll.
