Secret singer Hyosung tries acting

A day after Seohyun of Girls’ Generation announced that she is expanding her career into acting through a TV drama, Hyosung of girl group Secret was revealed to be making the same leap.

Hyosung has been cast as a lead character on cable channel OCN’s new drama, tentatively named “Detective Cheoyong Who Sees a Ghost,” according to local media reports yesterday.

She will be playing the ghost of a high school student, teaming up with actor Oh Ji-ho, who will play the detective Cheoyong, to solve mysterious crimes.

As it is the first time for the idol singer to try some serious acting in a TV drama, many fans are curious whether she can pull it off.

Hyosung will start filming the show by the end of this month. The 10-epiosde series will begin airing in October.
