Baek Ji-young says wedding was planned before pregnancy
Singer Baek Ji-young said Monday that she and her husband, actor Jung Suk-won, had confirmed their wish to get married even before they knew she was pregnant.“It wasn’t done for the pregnancy because we had already made our decision,” she said on SBS’s talk show “Healing Camp,” denying allegations that the couple got married because of the pregnancy.
The couple, which originally planning an August wedding, decided to have the ceremony early in June after they found out about the baby.
However, preparing for the wedding didn’t go as smoothly as she had expected because Jung was very cautious.
“I wanted to have the wedding as soon as possible after we decided to get married, but Jung was very careful about preparing the wedding, even though he usually is a fast decision-maker,” she said. “It made me doubt that he may not be completely sure about the marriage.”
The couple resolved their differences about the wedding and got married.
