Winner promoting in Japan
YG Entertainment’s newest boy group, Winner, has not even made its official debut yet, but already it has an event planned in Japan.The group was formed last month after competing with another group of trainees on the TV program “Win: Who Is Next.”
The five members of Winner will be in Osaka on Monday to meet with fans there for an event called “Hello! Winner.”
The group actually performed in Japan earlier this month, as part of a concert tour by Big Bang, another YG Entertainment group. On Nov. 16 and 17, the newbie group performed in Saitama to signal their debut soon.
“When the winner on the survival program was decided, six major media outlets in Japan reported the news as it has been creating some buzz here as well,” said a Japanese official. “As it is a chance to meet the group up close, it is forecast that many fans are going to come to the event.”
The group will also perform during Big Bang’s concert in Osaka today and tomorrow.
