‘Tazza 2’ set for release soon

After many false starts, the sequel to the 2006 film “Tazza: The War of Flowers” appears to be coming, having just completed casting.
The original movie was inspired by a famous graphic novel and pulled in more than 6.8 million admissions, making it the third-most popular movie of the year.
“The War of Flowers 2” is being directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol, famous for the hits “Speedy Scandal” in 2008 and “Sunny” in 2011. The original movie was produced by director Choi Dong-hoon, who made “The Thieves” in 2012, which earned 93.7 billion won ($88.7 million) and is the highest-grossing Korean film of all time.
Choi Seung-hyun, better known as Big Bang member T.O.P, will play the lead character Dae-gil.
Actress Shin Se-kyung plays Min-a, Dae-gil’s love interest.
Lee Honey, the winner of the Miss Korea pageant in 2006, has also joined the cast to play a rich widow.
The movie began filming on Thursday and is planned to be released in the second half of this year.
