JYP teases new group GOT7
JYP Entertainment yesterday released a photo of its new boy group, which it is preparing to debut later this month.The group, named GOT7, also released a teaser of a music video on Wednesday. Its official debut is on Jan. 20. In the teaser, the seven members are shown wearing school uniforms as they walk around several schools while being watched by female students.
Because JYP hasn’t introduced a boy group since it launched 2PM six years ago, many fans are waiting to see if the agency will make the entertainment scene more diverse.
It is said that some of the new group’s members are non-Koreans, and the group has been receiving offers from music labels overseas to promote its songs in other countries.
The group is known to focus on a type of martial arts called “tricking,” which includes a lot of acrobatics to make the members’ choreographic moves match the band’s hip-hop tunes.
