Yoo Se-yoon is live, from New York

Comedian Yoo Se-yoon, a regular cast member on “SNL Korea,” left for New York early yesterday at the invitation from the American broadcaster NBC, which created the original version of the show, said local media.

Yoo said he was excited at the opportunity to visit the famous studio and meet with the original production team.

“I always wanted to debut in U.S. one day,” said Kim at Incheon International Airport before leaving. “I don’t know if there will be a chance, but I think it will definitely be a good opportunity [for my comedian career].”

Another cast member, Shin Dong-yup, and the program’s producers An Sang-hui and Yoo Sung-mo were also invited to check out the famous comedy program, but they left a day earlier.

The team from “SNL Korea” will learn about a variety of production and cultural issues with the producers of the New York original. They are reportedly hoping to incorporate what they learn in the fifth season of “SNL Korea,” which is scheduled to start on March 1.
