“Since it’s their long-awaited full-length album, their first since their debut album in 2010, we hope the 21 listeners will offer us constructive criticism,” said the girls’ agency, YG Entertainment, yesterday.
YG added that the 21 listeners will be fans who were chosen at random from online music stores, as well as some local music critics.
K-pop industry experts are paying much attention to the event because holding private listening sessions is rather unusual compared to the usual showcase performance and press conference more common in K-pop.
The new album will be released online at 12:01 a.m. on Feb. 25. The agency says that two tracks from “Crush” will be performed in their concert in Seoul on March 1 to 2.
