Jackie Chan

The famous Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan has jumped into the K-pop industry, presenting a five-member boy group named JJCC, or “Double JC,” to the local media yesterday. “JJCC has been born under the firm belief of Jackie that ‘Asia has to come together in order to rule the world’,” said the group’s agency, The Jackie Chan Group Korea. “All the preparations have been done, and we will try our best to make an impressive debut.”

JJCC consists of four Korean members and one Chinese member, all of whom are in their early 20s. Chan reportedly was actively involved in setting up and shaping the group, as well as training the guys and producing their debut album.

The five members of JJCC have apparently been training under Chan for years, and in that time have had several chances to take to the stage for domestic and international promotional performances.

The group is scheduled to make its official debut some time in March.
