Cast confirmed for ‘Roommate’

The lineup for SBS’s new variety program “Roommate” - set to begin airing after the last episode of “K-Pop Star 3” - was confirmed yesterday and will reportedly include 11 celebrities from various fields.

Chan-yeol of popular K-pop idol group EXO was the last member to be confirmed.

The other 10 celebrities in the program are actors Lee Dong-wook, Hong Soo-hyun, Seo Kang-joon and Park Min-woo; entertainer Jo Se-ho; model Lee So-ra; mixed-martial arts fighter Song Ga-yeon; and singers Shin Sung-woo, Park Bom and Nana. Park Bom is from the girl group 2NE1 while Nana is from Afterschool.

The first episode was filmed today and actor Lee Dong-wook, who is reportedly caught in a tight schedule because of his new drama, “Hotel King,” still needs to decide if he will remain as a regular member after filming the first two episodes.

“Roommate” follows 11 celebrities living in one house and is expected to garner much attention from viewers because of its strong cast that includes many big names who rarely appear on reality program.

Shin Sung-woo, for example, has been in the entertainment business for 35 years, but mostly as a singer, not as a TV entertainer.

The first episode will air on April 20.
