Mad Clown seriously hits the charts
Hip-hop musician Mad Clown, whose real name is Jo Dong-rim, is dominating Korea’s online music charts with his latest song “Without You,” which was released Friday.As of Saturday morning, “Without You” topped nine charts including Melon, Mnet, Naver Music and Daum. And yesterday, it stayed in the No. 2 spot on most of the charts.
“Without You,” which features Hyolyn of Sistar, is the lead track of the musician’s second EP album “Ferocity.” It is his second collaboration with members of Sistar after doing a digital single -“Stupid In Love” - with So-you last year, which also topped many online music charts and brought the underground rapper wide public acclaim.
“Mad Clown showed an impressive rap on Mnet’s hip-hop survival program ‘Show Me the Money,’ and with ‘Stupid In Love’ last year he received a lot of public attention. So now, he is perceived by the public as a talented and appealing musician,” said one music insider.
