Entertainer Noh Hong-chul and announcer Park Ji-yoon were selected as the MCs for cable channel tvN’s new variety program “Come On Baby,” according to local reports yesterday.
“Come On Baby” is the Korean version of the hit U.S. program “Bet On Your Baby,” where children and their parents appear together on stage to solve various problems and play games to win prize money.
The program’s format has been exported to seven other countries and is airing its second season in the United States.
With the Korean TV industry overflowing with reality programs, including ones that focus on celebrities’ kids, the production team of “Come On Baby” has emphasized that because the show requires more active participation because of the prize money, it will be different to others.
They also added that Park is the mother of two children and it is therefore expected that she will sympathize more with the guest parents and engage them in discussions that are more candid.
The first episode airs on July 14 at 8:50 p.m.
