Tae-yang to represent Calvin Klein

Tae-yang, from the boy band Big Bang, has been selected as one of the frontmen for U.S. fashion brand Calvin Klein’s global unisex perfume “CK ONE,” according to local reports yesterday. Tae-yang was the only K-pop musician to be included in the perfume’s latest international campaign.

Other models included in the ad series for the brand’s 20th anniversary are electronic pop singer Kelela, music producer Evian Christ and fashion photographer Michael Bailey Gates.

“The new commercial campaign suggests a new dimension to the brand’s symbolic product ‘CK ONE’,” said Steven Shiffman, CEO of Calvin Klein.

“While we celebrate the original campaign’s tradition in the new one, we wanted to reflect the versatile characteristics of the younger generations.”

On Wednesday, Tae-yang posted “Check me out in the new ck one campaign” on his Twitter account along with a photo of him with a purple Mohawk that is expected to be shown in the new CK ONE poster.
