A group of talented vocalists from different generations will collaborate on stage in an upcoming episode of the SBS talk show “Healing Camp,” local media reported yesterday.
Veteran folk singer Kim Chang-wan from the band Sanwoolim, which had its heyday in the ’80s and ’90s, will perform with pop singers IU and Akdong Musician as guest members on a special episode of the program, “Healing Music Camp,” on Monday. It was reported that the production team enthusiastically applauded the entertainers after the group held a pre-recording session.
IU recently released the cover album “A Flower Bookmark,” which includes a version of Kim’s song “Your Meaning,” and also received positive reviews after a live performance of the song with Kim last month.
Akdong Musician has also recorded an interpretation of one of Sanwoolim’s songs in their own distinctive modern way.
