Song Yoon-ah to play a single mother after a six-year break
Song Yoon-ah will play a single mother in the upcoming MBC drama series “Mama”. The drama focuses on a single mother’s struggle to give a loving family to her child before her impending death.The drama is to air in August, and the anticipation is building up as this is Song’s return to acting on TV after a six-year hiatus. During her gap, she has been busy raising her son whom she gave birth to in 2010 after her marriage to actor Seol Kyeong-gu in 2009.
“There could have been some pressure for Song as her break from acting was quite long, but her quick decision to join us made it easy to control the schedule and allowed for fast filming,” said an MBC drama associate.
