Judges announced for BIFF award

Actors Bae Jong-ok and Jung Jae-young were nominated to be the judges for the “Actor & Actress of the Year” award at the 24th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), organizers announced on Monday.
The award focuses on first-time actors in Korean independent films being shown in the New Currents and Korean Cinema Today Vision sections.
The two winners will be selected by the two judges based on their performances in the films being screened in Busan.
The winners will be announced and awarded at the closing ceremony of the annual international film festival and will be awarded a cash prize of 5 million won ($4,132) each.
The acclaimed festival this year will be hosted from Oct. 3 to 12 at the Busan Cinema Center.
