Silla pottery made over 1,600 years ago that resembles a human face has been excavated from a site located in Sowol-ri in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang, according to the Hwarang Cultural Heritage Research Center on Tuesday. Several other human-faced pottery pieces were excavated before in other regions, but experts say this is the first earthenware that features three different expressions - an angry face, a blank face and a talking face of a human on a single piece of pottery. The upper face part is 28 centimeters (11 inches) tall. The bottom body part has two knobs that resemble arms. [HWARANG CULTURAL HERITAGE RESEARCH CENTER]
