Moonbyul to stream a virtual concert on May 30

Rapper Moonbyul of Mamamoo will host her first virtual solo concert on May 30.

Rapper Moonbyul of Mamamoo will host her first virtual solo concert on May 30.

Moonbyul of the popular girl group Mamamoo will hold a virtual solo concert on May 30, her agency Rainbowbridge World announced Thursday.

The event, called “Moon,” will be livestreamed via Naver V Live from 7 p.m. on May 30.

Following the recent trend, the concert will be online as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The artist will use stage sets that have been built to resemble places she frequently visits.

This is her first solo concert since her debut as part of Mamamoo in 2014. In February, she released a second solo album “Dark Side of the Moon,” which sold about 66,000 copies on its first week, an impressive number which ranks in the top five album sales made by local female solo artists.

Reservations for the virtual concert can be booked at Naver V Live at starting at 2 p.m. on May 18.
