무릎 꿇고 참배

Kim Chong-in, interim leader of the main opposition United Future Party (UFP), kneels to pay respects at the May 18th National Cemetery in Gwangju on Wednesday. Kim is the first leader of the conservative party to offer an apology for some of the party members’ denial of the 1980 Gwangju democratic uprising, in which hundreds were massacred by the military junta of Chun Doo Hwan. Kim also apologized for being part of the Chun regime. [YONHAP]

김종인 미래통합당 비상대책위원장이 수요일 광주 국립5.18민주묘지를 찾아 무릎을 꿇고 참배하고 있다. 김 위원장은 미래통합당 지도자로선 처음으로 광주 민주화운동에 대한 당내 인사들의 망언에 대해 사과했다. 전두환 군사정권은 1980년 광주 민주화운동을 진압하면서 시민 수백 명을 학살했다. 김 위원장은 전두환 군사정권에 자신이 참여했던 부분에 대해서도 사과했다. [연합]
