The annual year-end K-pop music awards ceremony Melon Music Awards, or MMA, will be held online this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, announced Kakao, which runs Melon, one of the country’s major music streaming services.
Since it will be hosted online, the awards ceremony will be held for four days, dubbed as the “MMA Week,” so that “global audiences can enjoy watching K-pop performances for four days straight,” added Kakao.
The festival has been available both online and offline in previous years, and this year marks its 15th edition.
The four-day event will feature a series of special content including exclusively curated playlists, special interviews and much more. It can be accessed through the Melon application, Kakao TV, and Melon’s official YouTube channel for free.
