Hanwha Life said Tuesday executive director Goo Do-kyo has been nominated to head Hanwha Life Financial Service, a to-be-established insurance sales subsidiary.

The sales subsidiary will be established on April 1.

Goo will be inaugurated as CEO after the March annual general meeting.

Goo has been heading the sales strategy at Hanwha Life since 2018. Since entering Hanwha Life, then Daehan Life, in 1990, he has built a broad portfolio of experience in insurance sales, Hanwha Life said in a statement.

Hanwha Life will focus on developing new insurance products and overall business strategies.

The new subsidiary will manage some 540 sales offices, 1,400 employees and 20,000 financial planners.
