Actor Ma Dong-seok to become PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' character

Actor Ma Dong-seok recreated as a game character for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) [KRAFTON]

Players of first-person shooting game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) will be able to choose actor Ma Dong-seok as a character when the latest update becomes available for installation on July 7.

PUBG's developer Krafton released a teaser video of the new update on Monday, in which Ma turns into a character and takes part in a gun battle after jumping out of an airplane.

On June 24, Krafton released its first short film "Ground Zero" based off of the storyline of PUBG, with Ma taking the lead role of Ma Gang-jae, a prisoner locked up in 1983.

Following the release of the film, Krafton announced a series of collaborations with Ma, which will include costumes and items based on his character.
