KT will offer free data analysis to restaurants owners on delivery consumption patterns in neighborhoods, allowing them to see which areas get the most orders at what times.

KT said Tuesday it will provide the information for free through its Jalnagage website until the end of the year.

Similar services are offered by delivery platforms but usually for a fee.

The analysis will use data accumulated through mobile logs of delivery orders, as well as the demographic information on the consumers. It will also disclose the revenues of nearby shops according to types of businesses, without specifying individual shops.

Using the data, business owners will be able to tailor their advertising more effectively.

“KT’s Jalnagage service allows restaurant owners to manage smartly their businesses by providing them with big-data analysis of consumers’ demand,” said Choi Joon-ki, senior vice president of KT's AI/Big Data business unit.

“KT will keep on offering services that help small businesses owners, who are suffering due to the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic.”
