Two teenage brothers admit to murdering grandmotherPolice on Monday arrested two teenage brothers for allegedly stabbing their own grandmother to death.
According to Daegu Seobu Police, an 18-year-old boy stabbed his 77-year-old grandmother with a kitchen knife around 12:50 a.m. on Monday at their house in Daegu.
Stab wounds were found all over her body, including on her face, shoulder, arm and hip.
When the police asked for his motive, the boy said that he was angered by his grandmother's nagging.
The police arrived at the crime scene after receiving an emergency 119 call from the boy's grandfather, who said over the phone, "My grandson stabbed my wife multiple times with a knife, and now he won't let me near her."
The victim was in critical condition when the police and the ambulance arrived. Paramedics performed CPR and transported her to a hospital, but she was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
The 18-year-old grandson was arrested on site.
Soon after, the police arrested his brother, a 16-year-old, who was also present at the murder scene.
The younger brother also admitted to being guilty of murdering his grandmother, according to the police.
The police will obtain arrest warrants for the two brothers and refer the case to the prosecution on a charge of parricide.
