JW Marriott Hotel Seoul  
Through Dec. 23: JW Marriott Hotel Seoul celebrates the arrival of the festive season with a stunning selection of cakes crafted by the hotel’s pastry team. Reflecting JW Marriott Hotel Seoul’s 2021 festive "glam red" color concept, the uniquely creative collection of seasonal cakes and breads is inspired by the radiant red of Christmas and the pure white of a winter snowscape. The star of this winter’s nine festive cakes is the Mirror Glazed Mousse Cake, filled with soft caramel chocolate mousse and tangy apricot compote and enveloped in a stunning red glaze to convey a sense of festive luxury for both the eyes and palate. The Red Chocolate Berry Box also makes a return this year, following a sensational reception last Christmas. A universally irresistible sweet cream cake is topped with fresh strawberries and coated in Valrhona raspberry chocolate. Other highlights include the Velvet Wonder, a red velvet cake crafted from red cake sheets filled with layers of rich cream cheese and topped with fresh berries; the Bûche de Noël, a traditional French-style log-shaped cake of almond sponge and chocolate cream; the Black Forest cake, crafted from chocolate cake filled with sweet black cherry cream; and the Santa Mousse cake, filled with soft, sweet berry mousse. The cake selection is complemented by festive breads including Stollen, an aromatic German-style Christmas bread filled with rum-infused dried fruits and almonds; traditional Italian Christmas favorites Panettone and Pandoro; and a fairytale Gingerbread House decorated with colorful cookies, jellies and candies. The limited edition Christmas cakes are available by advance reservation until December 23. The nine festive cakes and Gingerbread House are available for collection from Patisserie, located on the second floor of the hotel, from December 23 to 25, with limited numbers also available for direct purchase without reservation.  The three Christmas breads are available on regular sale from Cafe One on the first floor of the hotel. A 10 percent discount is offered for cakes reserved through Naver Booking, while four of the signature cakes are also available to purchase at Market Kurly. Cakes ordered in the Seoul region may be collected on the evening of the designated collection date. Cake and bread prices range from 32,000 ($27) to 100,000 won

Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas  
Through Dec. 31: Grand Deli located on the ground floor of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is offering holiday cakes that will elevate Christmas and year-end home parties for a limited time only. Three master pâtissiers including Dongwoo Kim, who is in charge of the hotel’s bakery team, has prepared eleven signature cakes to enhance the Christmas and year-end mood. The hotel’s chief pâtissier recommends three cakes in particular for this year-end season — Chocolate Tree Mugwort Cake, which depicts a snow-topped mountain with delicate mugwort cream on top of chocolate sheet cake; Pine Tree Cake that looks like a snow-covered mountain decorated with a Christmas tree made from Chantilly cream and Igloo Cake, which combines blueberry confit cake, fresh cream and Oreo cream. Eight whole cakes, including Citrus Cake with mascarpone cheesecake and refreshing confit made from lime, yuzu, and hallabong (a citrus hybrid from Jeju Island), German-style Black Forest Cake that contains cherries and cherry compote and Charlotte Aux Fraises, topped with a generous amount of fresh strawberries and fresh cream are also available during December only. Christmas log cakes are available for those who prefer smaller-sized cakes. Three types of log cakes — Buche de Noel, that combines rich dark chocolate with raspberry pulp, Snow House, a fig cake topped with white chocolate, and Pistachio Tree, a pistachio cake made from white chocolate — are on the menu. Prices for the cakes start at 68,000 won while the log cakes start from 50,000 won, including tax.

Four Seasons Hotel Seoul  
Ongoing: Four Seasons Hotel Seoul introduces its new room package "Bespoke Beauty," which includes plenty of gifts for relaxation with luxury cosmetics for the skin. Collaborating with French luxury beauty brand Biologique Recherche, this package includes a gift set of Biologique Recherche skin care products valued at 500,000 won. The Bespoke Beauty package includes a relaxing stay in a spacious room, two-person breakfast buffet to experience the upgraded breakfast menu at The Market Kitchen and the four item skincare gift set. The four types of skincare products are easy to use for all skin types, from oxygenating and anti-pollution make-up remover to multi-active treatment mist and hydration serum to moisturize skin in winter, and exfoliating algae body soap for soft skin with a slimming effect. In addition, the package includes a variety of benefits, including complimentary access to the three-story Four Seasons Club Seoul, indoor swimming pool, fitness center and golf practice range. Prices start from 599,000 won per night excluding tax.
