Soyeon, a former member of the girl group T-Ara, announced her engagement to soccer player Cho Yu-min.

“After three years of dating, Soyeon and Jo will be getting married,” her agency Think Entertainment said in a statement Tuesday.

The two will be tying the knot in November after Jo finishes the 2022 season in September.

Thirty-four-year-old Soyeon debuted in 2009 as the lead vocalist in the girl group T-Ara. Soyeon left the group in 2017 when she did not re-sign with the group’s agency after T-Ara’s contract expired. She subsequently debuted as a solo artist in February last year with a song titled “Just The Same As Before.” Though Soyeon left T-Ara along with another member Boram, the four remaining members — Jiyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin and Qri — are still active as a group.

Cho Yu-min is a 25-year-old midfielder in Korea’s K League 1 club Suwon FC. The national team that Cho was part of in 2018 won the gold medal during the 2018 Asian Games.
