Boy band Pentagon’s 12th EP tops iTunes charts around the globe

Boy band Pentagon’s 12th EP “IN:VITE U,” which dropped Tuesday, topped the iTunes album charts the following day.
 
The EP debuted at No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and also the charts in 30 different countries including Brazil, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Peru and Spain. It also ranked No. 2 on the European iTunes album chart. The band have broken its own record for most No. 1s set by its 11th EP “Love or Take.” 
 
The EP comes after Pentagon’s longest-ever hiatus of 10 months and includes six tracks: lead track “Feelin' Like,” “One Shot,” “The Game,” “Call My Name,” “Sparkling Night” and “Bad.”  
 
During the media showcase of the EP held Tuesday, the members said the concept of “IN:VITE U” is “fancy and sexy.”  
 
“We are now in our fifth year since debut so this time, we wanted to show another side of Pentagon,” said Kino. “We discussed a lot about how to show that we’ve matured over the past five years through our music.”  
 
Pentagon’s current members are Jinho, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino and Wooseok. Member Hui is currently doing his mandatory military service as a public sector worker, while Jinho rejoined the group after finishing his on Nov. 14.
