Boy band Shinhwa’s youngest member Andy announced Wednesday that he’s set to marry.
Andy, 40, posted a handwritten letter on his Instagram announcing his marriage. He did not reveal the date or who the bride-to-be is, but is rumored to be walking down the aisle with a broadcaster who is nine years his junior.
“I have finally found someone whom I want to spend the rest of my life with,” wrote Andy in the letter addressed to his fan club Shinhwa Changjo. “I wanted to tell you guys the news first. This person makes me smile whenever I was having difficult moments. This person cherishes me so much,” he added.
“Please be happy for my new beginning. I’ll still be a member of Shinhwa.”
Andy will become the third member to tie the knot, following Eric, who married actor Nah Hye-mi in July 2017 and Jun Jin, who married Ryu Yi-seo, a former flight attendant in October 2020.
K-pop boy band Shinhwa is celebrating the 24th anniversary of its debut this year. The six-member band has had troubles, such as the online dispute between Eric and Kim Dong-wan, but shortly after the band announced that the two have mended their relationship and that the band’s loyal fanclub “helped mitigate the situation by showing their unconditional love.”
Shinhwa debuted in 1998 with its first full-length album “Resolver."
