Sian of boy band T1419 has tested positive for Covid-19, his agency MLD Entertainment confirmed Thursday.

“Sian wasn’t feeling well yesterday and took a PCR test, and was confirmed to have the virus today,” the agency said.

According to the agency, Sian has received two doses of a Covid vaccine.

“Sian is currently in quarantine and is receiving treatment,” the agency said. “We’ve canceled all of the prearranged schedules and will follow preventive measures set by the government.”

Comprised of five Korean members — Noa, Sian, Kevin, Gunwoo, On — and four Japanese members — Leo, Zero, Kairi and Kio, T1419 debuted in January last year with its album “Before Sunrise Part. 1.” The band recently released a single “Red Light, Green Light” in December.

The Omicron variant of Covid-19 has taken a toll on the K-pop industry with a plethora of artists testing positive.

Over the five-day Lunar New Year holiday, 10 artists including Hwang Yun-seong and Joo Chang-uk, Lee Hyeop and Cha Jun-ho of boy band Drippin, JooE of girl group Momoland, Jimin of BTS, Kim Jae-hwan of former project boy band Wanna One, and SinB and Eunha of girl group Viviz announced they had tested positive.
