BTS and Tomorrow X Together win gold awards at TikTok Creator Awards

Boy bands BTS and Tomorrow X Together (TXT) received the gold award at the TikTok Creator Awards, according to Big Hit Music on Monday.
 
The gold award is given to accounts that have over 10 million followers and consistently present quality content on the short video-sharing app.  
 
BTS currently has approximately 4.65 million followers on its official TikTok account —the most for any K-pop artist. TXT comes in second place with around 1.56 million followers. 
 
BTS has been active on TikTok, uploading content in time for its releases of songs “My Universe” (2021) with British rock band Coldplay and the remix version of “Butter” featuring American rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
 
BTS debuted in 2013 with its EP “2 Cool 4 Skool” and consists of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
 
TXT debuted in 2019 with the song “Crown” and has five members: Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai.
