Girl group Loona will not participate in the first episode of Mnet's survival program "Queendom 2" after three members tested positive for Covid-19, according to its agency Blockberry Creative on Monday.

The agency issued a statement announcing that members Haseul, Yeojin and Vivi tested positive on Feb. 26. Yeojin received three doses of a Covid-19 vaccine while Haseul and Vivi have had two doses.

Other members of the 12-member group are waiting for their PCR results after their self-testing kits were positive on Feb. 27. Blockberry Creative said it will notify fans of the results in future announcements.

As a result, Loona will be unable to appear in the first round of "Queendom 2," which was scheduled for Monday. The show sees six high-profile female K-pop acts compete by each releasing a new song on the same day. In the first season of "Queendom" (2019), the winner was awarded with a solo comeback show on Mnet.

Loona is comprised of members Haseul, Vivi, Yves, JinSoul, Kim Lip, Chuu, Heejin, Hyunjin, Go Won, Choerry, Olivia Hye and Haseul, Vivi Yeojin. It debuted in 2018 and is known for hits "Hi High" (2018), "Why Not?" (2020) and "PTT (Paint The Town)" (2021).

"Queendom 2" will also feature K-pop acts Brave Girls, Viviz, WJSN, Kep1er and Hyolyn. Taeyeon of girl group Girls' Generation will host the show which will air every Thursday at 9:20 p.m. for 10 weeks from March 31.
