Boy band Seventeen will host an offline concert titled “Seventeen 2022 Japan Fanmeeting Hanabi” on May 7 and 8, its agency Pledis Entertainment said Thursday.

The concert will take place at Saitama Super Arena.

It marks the band’s first offline concert since October 2019, when it performed its “Seventeen World Tour ‘Ode to You’ in Japan” for a month.

The band topped Oricon’s weekly albums chart, Billboard Japan’s Hot Albums chart, Top Album Sales Chart and Artist 100 chart with its 9th EP “Attacca” released last year.

In the annual report published by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, “Attacca” ranked No. 3 in “Global Album Sales Chart 2021” and its 8th EP “Your Choice” ranked No. 8.

The band’s Japanese EP “Power of Love” (2021) was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan in January.

Seventeen is a 13-member multinational boy band which debuted on May 29, 2015 with its EP “17 Carat.” It’s known for hits such as “Adore U” (2015), “Don’t Wanna Cry” (2017) and “Ready to Love” (2021).
