Host of idols to star in upcoming musical 'Midnight Sun'

An array of K-pop stars will star in the upcoming musical “Midnight Sun.”
 
Local production company Shinswave announced that the run will kick off on May 3 at Hanjeon Art Center in Seocho District, southern Seoul.
 
“Midnight Sun” is a coming-of-age romantic drama about love, friendship and growth centering around two teenagers named Haram and Haena.
 
Onew from Shinee, Ha Sung-woon from the project boy band Wanna One, Jinho from Pentagon, Y from Golden Child and actor Song Geon-hee will alternate the role of Haram. Kim Nam-joo from Apink, Kwon Eun-bi and actor Lee Sang-A will alternate the role of Haena.
 
The musical was first launched in May 2021 and was livestreamed across 114 countries, drawing an audience of 80,000. Prior cast members include K-pop stars Onew from Shinee, Wonpil from Day6, Baekho from NU’EST, Youngjae from GOT7 and Kei from Lovelyz.
 
The show will also be available online via global streaming platform MetaTheater. Tickets to watch the livestream can be purchased from 4 p.m. on April 5 through the platform’s website metatheater.live/main.do
