YG Entertainment announced Thursday that boy band iKON is returning to the music industry on May 3. [YG ENTERTAINMENT]

Boy band iKON will be returning with new music on May 3.

The band’s agency YG Entertainment uploaded a poster titled “Release Poster” on its official blog Thursday with six shadowy silhouettes of iKON members with the date May 3 stamped on at the top. Other information about the album has yet to be released.

It has been a year and two months since iKON last released music as a band in March 2021, with its digital single “Why Why Why.”

The band will also host a concert titled “iKON 2022 Concert” from June 25 to 26 at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park in southern Seoul, which will be the band’s first offline concert in three years and six months.

iKON debuted in 2015 with an EP titled “Welcome Back.” Some of its hit songs include “Climax” (2016), “Love Scenario” (2018) and “Killing Me” (2019).

Originally debuting with seven members, iKON was reorganized as a six-member band in 2019 after its former leader B.I.’s departure following allegations he had purchased drugs.
