The first batch of artists for the premiere KCON event in the United States and Japan, slated to be held in May, was announced by CJ ENM on Wednesday.

Last week, CJ ENM announced that its annual K-culture festival KCON will be back this year after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic and added that the event will kick off with premiere events in May, making stops in three cities: Seoul, Tokyo and Chicago.

For the premiere event that will be held in Chicago’s Rosemont Theatre on May 20 and 21, K-pop acts including BTOB, Cravity, STAYC, Nmixx and TO1 are to make an appearance. Nmixx, TO1 and STAYC will also be performing for the premiere event in Seoul on May 7 and 8. Other artists included in the Seoul concerts are: Highlight, Monsta X, contestants from “Queendom 2,” Key, NiziU and The Boyz.

As for the premiere event in Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe Event Hall, which will be held on May 14 and 15, boy bands Enjin, INI, JO1, Octpath and OWV have confirmed their appearance.

The main festival KCON will be held in Los Angeles in August and in Tokyo in October.
