Choa's got something to drop on April 9

Choa [GREAT M ENTERTAINMENT]

Choa [GREAT M ENTERTAINMENT]

Choa, former member of girl group AOA, is set to release something new on April 9, Great M Entertainment said Friday.

On Thursday, the agency posted a teaser photo on its social media channels showing a daisy in the center of a yellowish background. Underneath the flower were the captions "CHOA" and "2022.04.09 6PM (KST)."

Whether an album or single will be released is not known.

Choa, whose real name is Park Cho-a, debuted as a member of AOA in 2012 with the song “Elvis.” The group originally had eight members, but currently has only three: Hyejeong, Seolhyun and Chanmi.

Choa left AOA in 2017 due to mental health issues. When she departed, AOA was at its peak with songs “Miniskirt” (2014), “Like a Cat” (2014) and “Heart Attack” (2015).

Another former member, Kwon Min-A, claimed in July 2020 that she had been constantly bullied by the group’s leader Jimin, forcing her to leave. After AOA became embroiled in that controversy, Jimin left the group as well.
