So Ji-sub returns to small screen as lead in new series 'Doctor Lawyer'

Actor So Ji-sub will star as the lead in MBC’s new series “Doctor Lawyer” (translated) which is set to premiere on May 27.
 
The upcoming series is the first drama series for So to star in since getting married to reporter and TV personality Cho Un-keong in 2020. His last appearance on the small screen was in the 2018 MBC series “My Secret Terrius.”
 
The new series is about a surgeon named Han I-an (played by So) who loses his medical license after a failed operation that leaves a patient dead and becomes an attorney who specializes in medical lawsuits.
 
He then crosses paths with a medical crime prosecutor (portrayed by actor Im Soo-hyang) who lost her loved one in the failed operation, and the two join forces to punish the people who manipulated the surgery to make it fail.
 
Actor Shin Sung-rok will also appear in the series as Jaden Lee, a Korean-American head of the Asian branch of a large investment company.
 
"Doctor Lawyer" will have 16 episodes. It will air every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
