WJSN member Bona is considering role in drama 'A Joseon Lawyer'

Girl group WJSN member and star of the hit drama series "Twenty Five Twenty One" Bona is positively reviewing the script of the upcoming drama "A Joseon Lawyer" (translated), according to her agency Starship Entertainment on Tuesday.

Based on a webtoon of the same title, "A Joseon Lawyer" is a coming-of-age story about a selfish lawyer named Kang Han-soo during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). The role of Kang is being reviewed by actor Woo Do-hwan.

Bona is being considered for the role of Lee Yeon-joo, a secretive woman who becomes one of Kang's clients to carry out revenge.

If she does get cast in the series, it will mark the actor's first lead role on the small screen.

Bona debuted as a member of WJSN with the EP "Would You Like?" in 2016. The group has released songs like "I Wish" (2017) and "As You Wish" (2019). The group is currently competing in Mnet’s K-pop girl group competition show “Queendom 2.”

Bona debuted as an actor in 2017 through the KBS series "Hit the Top." She recently gained wider popularity through her role in the hit tvN romance series "Twenty Five Twenty One" alongside actors Kim Tae-ri and Nam Joo-hyuk.
