Preorders for girl group aespa's new EP "Girls" surpassed 1 million just one week after sales opened, according to SM Entertainment on Thursday.

"Girls" drops on July 8. It will be simultaneously released in the United States.
Before the EP’s release, aespa will drop an English-language single “Life’s Too Short” on June 24. The group already performed the song at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
The group is also planning a number of concerts overseas.
On June 26, aespa is slated to host a showcase titled “aespa Showcase SYNK in LA” at Los Angeles YouTube Theater in California.
On Aug. 6 and 7, it will host its first showcase in Japan, titled “aespa Japan Premium Showcase 2022 ~SYNK~” at Yokohama Pia Arena MM in Yokohama.
aespa, which debuted in November 2020, is known for its metaverse concepts and commercially successful songs like “Black Mamba” (2020), “Next Level” and its first EP “Savage” (2021). The group has four members: Giselle, Karina, Ningning and Winter.
