Girl group aespa's EP "Girls" landed at third place on the Billboard 200 chart, according to the outlet on Monday.

aespa is the third female K-pop act to have an album make it to the top three on the chart, following Blackpink's "The Album" and Twice's "Formula of Love: O+T=〈3."

On the recent Billboard chart, aespa's EP came after Bad Bunny’s "Un Verano Sin Ti" in first place and Brent Faiyaz’s "Wasteland" in second.

"Girls" was released on July 8 and includes seven tracks including the title track "Girls," "Lingo," "Dreams Come True" and "Illusion."

The group sold over 1.26 million copies of "Girls" within the first week of its release, according to local album sales tracker Hanteo.

aespa is set to hold its first in-person fan meet on July 30 at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Songpa District, southern Seoul. Early ticket sales for fan club members start July 4. Regular tickets go on sale from July 6, both through Yes24.

aespa debuted in November 2020 with four members: Giselle, Karina, Ningning and Winter. It is known for its metaverse concept which centers around the story of the members' alter-ego avatars that exist in the virtual world and can communicate with the members in real life. The group has released hits “Black Mamba” (2020), “Next Level” and "Savage" (2021).
