'Work Later, Drink Now' cast begin filming second season

The cast of hit Tving original series “Work Later, Drink Now” have started shooting a second season, the streaming platform announced Thursday.

Actors Jeong Eun-ji, Han Seon-hwa, Lee Sun-bin and Choi Si-won posed for a picture released by Tving as they reunited to shoot the second season of the show. The series is loosely based on the Kakao Webtoon “Drunk City Women” (translated), and describes three friends’ decade-long friendship from their college years to their employment. The series went viral as viewers found the the three women very believable and easy to relate to as they navigate their professional and personal lives.

The explosive fandom of the series led to it being credited as the show to cause the largest weekly boost in Tving paid subscribers. It was also invited to be screened in the non-competition section at the Cannes International Series Festival in April.

Last December, a few weeks after season 1 ended, Tving renewed the series for another season with the cast reprising their roles. Writer Wi So-young, who wrote the script for the first season, will continue to write for season 2.

Season 2 of “Work Later, Drink Now” will be released exclusively on Tving in the latter half of this year.
