Netflix to produce its first music reality show 'Take 1'

Netflix on Tuesday confirmed the production of music reality show "Take 1," starring prominent Korean acts like Mamamoo and AKMU.
 
"Take 1" is a Korean music program that revolves around the step-by-step process of artists creating "the most meaningful performance of their careers," according to Netflix. 
 
The artists are allowed to choose who they want to invite to their performances, what they wish to sing and where they want to do it.  
 
It is the first music reality show that Netflix will produce. 
 
Famous local acts such as Yim Jae-beom, You Hee-yul, Park Jung-hyun, Rain, AKMU, Mamamoo and soprano Sumi Jo are set to appear on the show. 
 
Director Kim Hak-min, who has experience directing music reality program "Two Yoo Project Sugar Man 3" in 2019, will take the helm of "Take 1." Writer Yoo Jin-young who works on ongoing music variety show "Amazing Saturday" will also work on the show.  
 
When the show will air has not yet been specified by the platform.
